There is no deadline to apply to AGUSM due to its rolling admissions; however prospective students should plan on completing their application 4-5 months prior to the semester they are seeking. Semesters begin September, January, and May. All documents forwarded to the University become the property of AGUSM.
To apply for admission to American Global University School of Medicine, prospective students must submit the following items:
- A completed application form available online or in PDF Format.
- A recent photo (2" x 2"). If you are using the print format, please affix the photo to the Application Form.
- A non-refundable Application Fee of $75 USD payable to Med Serve International.
- A brief autobiography along with personal comments regarding your medical career expectation typed on one letter-sized page (8½ x 11). In concise terms, summarize the development of your interest in medicine, your goals in pursuing a medical career, and your personal attributes that qualify you to be a physician. Briefly describe the skills and values you believe a physician should possess in order to practice medicine in the 21st century. Summarize how your experiences to date demonstrate your acquisition and possession of those skills and values. Please limit your essay to 750 words.
- A chronological listing of your educational, employment history, and volunteer experience since graduation from high school typed on one letter-sized page (8½ x 11). Include the beginning and ending dates for each period of employment or school enrollment.
- Freshman applicants are strongly advised to provide official letters from a Pre-Medical Advisory Committee, addressed to the "Admissions Committee, American Global University School of Medicine." We will, however, accept a minimum of two letters from individual science professors who have taught the applicant. Additional letters of recommendation from professors or employers noting any previous medical experience will be accepted as further support of the applicant's candidacy to medical school. These letters must appear on original letterhead stationery and be sent directly from the individual offering the recommendation.
- Transfer applicants who have attended another medical school must provide a Dean's letter from each medical school previously attended, together with two letters of recommendation from members of the medical school faculty, as part of the application packet.
- Official transcripts must be sent to the U.S. Mailing Address (not to the campus) directly from the college registrar in an official sealed envelope. For foreign schools, notarized copies of the original transcripts may be directed to AAS when official transcripts are not readily available. However, official transcripts must follow the notarized copies prior to matriculation.
- MCAT scores are NOT required for admission to AGUSM.
